SMS Templates

The ‘Admin’ section of the app will now have an additional feature where you can create SMS templates. Once you have created a template you can select any number of clients you wish and then compose an SMS group message which then sends individually to your clients. This will be useful for sending payment reminders or general announcements such as your holiday plans.

The good thing about a grouped SMS is that essentially you are sending an individual message to every client in one action and responses are only one to one and cant be seen by other clients.

I thought SMS is a good way to go and will investigate further into WhatsApp in the near future.

Upcoming Events

With all the changes that have been happening things like birthdays and upcoming boarding events were lost on the dashboard so now they have a home at the top of the page with CTA’s to find out more about upcoming events. See the below screenshots for clarity.

Custom & Daycare events

Daycare and custom events now have an additional box for adding notes similar to walks and boarding events.

Taking a picture

When creating a new dog you can now take a picture directly from your camera rather than going through the gallery on your phone.

Week & monthly views on your calendar

You will be able to change the view on your calendar to a weekly view as well as the current monthly view. If the monthly view is looking a little busy then this should be a refreshing addition. I figured by now everyone knows how to swipe to change the month etc so I’ve taken out the previous/next month buttons. If you need to find a bespoke date you can now use the date picker to do so which is located next to the ‘Today’ button.

Wrapping up

So that is it for the time being whilst I try to get the app out there to fellow dog care professionals. I will of course be on hand to take suggestions from users and encourage you to feedback what you want from the app no matter how big or how pedantic the request is 🙂
